Details of Fish River Canyon

Africa's largest gorge and the second largest in the world (after the Grand Canyon), Fish River Canyon is a 500-million-year-old canyon formed not only by the Fish River, but by earth crust movement that caused an existing valley floor to collapse. This creates a jaw-dropping 500m drop seemingly out of nowhere and makes for stunning photography.
