    VALENTINO, THE LAST EMPEROR

    Directed by Matt Tyrnauer
Valentino, The Last Emperor is a feature-length movie that takes the viewer inside the singular world of one of Italy’s most famous designers, Valentino Garavani. The film documents the colourful and dramatic closing act of Valentino’s celebrated career, capturing the end of an era in global fashion. But at the heart of the film is a love story: the unique relationship between Valentino and his business partner and companion of fifty years, Giancarlo Giammetti.

An intimate, unprecedented and very funny exploration of the fabulous world of two of Italy’s richest and most famous men, Valentino, The Last Emperor joins them behind the curtain. The critically acclaimed film has captured the hearts and minds of audiences at film festivals around the world.

    SEPTEMBER ISSUE

    Directed by R.J. Cutler

Have you ever wanted to sit on the front row of a catwalk fashion show? The September Issue puts you in the shoes of the world’s most influential woman in fashion icon, Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue magazine.

Taking us behind her trademark bob and huge sunglasses The September Issue is a revealing look at the inner workings and glamour of the fashion industry as they prepare the biggest ever issue of the magazine.

Exposing the truth behind the pictures, and featuring appearances from some of the worlds most fascinating designers, as well as actress and covergirl Sienna Miller, The September Issue is the must have accessory for all fashion lovers.

    PAUL SMITH: GENTLEMAN DESIGNER

    Directed by Stéphane Carrell

An intimate and provoking portrait of "Lord Paul Smith", quirky designer and formidable businessman, through exclusive access to a poet of British fashion.

Paul Smith has 400 shops and outlets in 35 countries, 12 clothing lines, 400 million Euros in yearly revenues, sales topping Chanel's, partnerships with Evian, Apple, and Austin, and prestigious bicycle and race car brands.

The secret of his success? Who is Paul Smith? How has he managed to get millions of men interested in fashion? How did a modest man from Nottingham become synonymous with elegance in men's fashion?

    NOTEBOOK ON CITIES AND CLOTHES

    Directed by Wim Wenders

An intimate portrait of designer Yohji Yamamoto. In 1989, WIM WENDERS (Paris, Texas, Wings of Desire) was commissioned by the Centre Georges Pompidou to make a film about fashion and its place in contemporary society. Initially bemused by the offer, the award-winning director chose to focus on someone whose work he was both familiar with and felt comfortable in, the internationally renowned Japanese designer YOHJI YAMAMOTO.

NOTEBOOK ON CITIES AND CLOTHES gradually transforms from a meditation on our relationship with fashion to an exploration of visual representation, creating a dialogue between the language of fashion and that of film. Both are rapidly changing forms of communication whose progressiveness is often breathtaking. As Yamamoto constantly searches for new modes of expression, Wim Wenders embraces video technology, which offers more flexibility when recording such a fast-paced world. Moving between Tokyo and Paris, from the creation of one collection to its premiere at a fashion show, NOTEBOOK ON CITIES AND CLOTHES is an intimate portrait of one of the world s most influential and visionary fashion designers and an engaging exploration of the visual medium.

    YVES SAINT LAURENT L'AMOUR FOU

    Directed by Pierre Thoretton

L'Amour Fou is a deeply moving insight into the private life of fashion icon Yves Saint Laurent, and the fifty years he shared with the love of his life, Pierre Bergé.

Throughout their partnership, they were avid collectors of art, spending a large portion of their wealth amassing a collection that would rival the best galleries. Upon Laurent's death in 2008 Bergé decided to sell the couple's beloved collection. It is through this momentous auction, as well as rare archival footage and interviews with those closest to Saint Laurent that the film beautifully depicts his incredible life and the relationship between these two remarkable men.

L'Amour Fou is a wonderful tribute to beauty, elegance, decadence and a man who so perfectly captured all these things.

    LAGERFELD CONFIDENTIAL

    Directed byRodolphe Marconi

An intimate documentary portrait of one of the fashion world's most iconic figures - Karl Lagerfeld. Following the style guru through both his professional and private life, director Rodolphe Marconi offers an insight into the life of the man behind the image, from designing in private, to presenting his collection in the glare of the catwalk.
