Details of The Sleeping Warrior Camp

TENTS:

Each tent is locally-made and eco-friendly. All tents have:

  • roofs,
  • canvas interiors
  • private or ensuite stone-built bathroom facilities with flush toilets,
  • sinks and hot showers.


Electricity is solar-powered. The comfortable beds are provided with continental quilts and fine-quality linen. Each tent has its own private furnished terrace.

Long Hill and Scout Hill tents:2 large tents with ensuite bathrooms sleep two or three persons each. They are protected with grass roofs.

Central Tenthas a private leleshwa enclosure and features a double and single bed and an ensuite bathroom. Immediately adjacent is another tent with its own private bathroom, which can be used to accommodate friends or children (twin beds). We can also erect a third twin tent should this be required.

The Guest Houseis immediately adjacent to the main reception area and is stone-built. It features a bathroom, an alfresco shower (with hot water) on its private deck, a panoramic viewing deck and a reception room (convertible into a twin bedroom) and bedroom (with double bed and door leading on to the deck).

Opened in 2006, The Sleeping Warrior Tented Camp Lodge stands on a lava outcrop commanding stunning views over the private Soysambu Conservancy towards UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lake Elmenteita.
