Four Day Maasai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari
Short Overview
Often dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World, the annual Wildebeest Migration sees more than a million wildebeest and zebras make the trip from Tanzania's Serengeti into Kenya's Maasai Mara.
This four day itinerary offers you the opportunity to experience the massive movement of animals yourself, and perhaps even catch the high drama of a river crossing in the process.
You'll spend two full days out on the Maasai Mara tracking the movements of the Wildebeest Migration and chasing the Big Five. You're sure to come back with a lifetime of memories.

DAY 1 - NAIROBI - MAASAI MARA
Along the way, you'll stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpont for a stunnning panorama of the lakes, plains, and volcanic terrain that dominate the region. You'll later stop in the Maasai town of Narok to stretch your legs before continuing on to Kenya's most famous reserve.
You'll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and then head out on an afternoon game drive in the park.
DAY 2 - MAASAI MARA
Alternatively, you can take to the skies with a hot air balloon safari that will see you soar above all of the action before setting down on the plains for a champagne breakfast among the wildlife. Ask your safari expert about adding a hot air balloon adventure to your safari.
You'll then return to your lodge for a late breakfast before packing a picnic lunch and heading back out into the park for a day-long exploration of the Maasai Mara. You may also opt to relax at your lodge in the morning, enjoy lunch on site, and then head out again in the afternoon once the weather has cooled off a bit.
DAY 3 - MAASAI MARA
Each year the entire herd must attempt the treacherous crossing of the Mara River, where they contend not only with strong currents, but also with the always hungry Nile crocodiles who call the river home. It takes a lot of patience and more than a little luck, but witnessing the dramatic river crossing is a bucket list worthy item.
