Details of Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

While both the black and white rhinoceros are extinct in the wild in Uganda, the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the proud home of Uganda’s only rhinoceros.

The sanctuary is home to fifteen white rhinoceros, and visitors can get a more intimate encounter with these gigantic beasts on a guided walking tour of the facility.

In addition to the rhinos, the park is also home to a number of other herbivores such as the Ugandan kob, reed bucks, and even hippos.
