Sadaani is one of Tanzania’s newest national parks and, though relatively small compared to others in the country; it has an enticing location on the shores of the Indian Ocean. It’s quite likely that visitors to the reserve will be treated to sightings of elephant and other wild animals roaming on its beaches, which are among the few remaining green turtle breeding sites on Tanzania’s mainland. Also encompassed by the park is the Wami River, flanked by mangroves and home to hippos, crocodiles and a high concentration of riverine birds. Sadaani also features in famed explorer, Richard Burton’s research writing and visitors a look forward to other highlights including: the Old Boma Hotel, the Saadani village graveyard and the ruins of ancient settlements in Mkwaja Village.

DAY ONE - ZANZIBAR - SAADANI NATIONAL PARK
You will be picked up at your hotel for your transfer by road to the Marina at Hotel Verde. You will board you boat and set off for the mainland of Tanzania.
One of Tanzania's newest parks and its best kept secrets, Saadani National Park is where the Indian Ocean meats the East African bushlands. East Africa's only beachfront national park, a visit to Saadani is something truly unique.
One of the only places on earth where you can watch elephants and lions during the day and then relax on the beach in the evening, Saadani National Park offers a unique opportunity to observe both Africa's land-dwelling animals and its diverse marine life.
You will be met by your safari guide and set off for your gamedrive. You get to enjoy a hot lunch at the Tanapa Banda's - before setting of for an afternoon boat safari. After your boat safari you will drive to your camp for your overnight.
DAY TWO - SAADANI NATIONAL PARK - ZANZIBAR
Today you will enjoy an early gamedrive. With a packed breakfast you will make the most of your time in the bush. See the sun rise above this spectacular park and go in search of the famous Tanzanian wildlife.
After your gamedrive is completed you will go to your lodge and enjoy a hot lunch. After your lunch you will be taken to your boat for the boat back to Zanzibar. The ride will take again about 2 hours. Upon your arrival you will be transfered to a hotel of your choice in Zanzibar - with unforgetabble memories and surely a memory card of pictures!
