Safari from Zanzibar - A night in Mikumi - Two Days

You will be picked up at your hotel in Zanzibar for the drive to Zanzibar airport. There you will board your morning flight to Mikumi. You will arrive in Mikimu after a flight of around an hour and will set off for your game drive.

When the time is right you will enjoy your picnic lunch right in the wilderness. Mikumi National Park is sometimes called the most accessible corner of Selous and sometimes compared favourably to the open plains of the Serengeti, Mikumi is Tanzania's fourth-largest national park and a game viewer’s dream. With your guide, you will set off in search of wildlife like lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, and elephant.

After an unforgettable game drive, you will drive to your lodge for your dinner and overnight.

You'll start your day with an unforgettable sunrise game drive. See the sun set fire to the savannah as predators such as leopards and lions hunt for their morning meal. The animals are most active when the temperatures are still cool, so this is a truly magical time of the day to be out on a game drive.

You'll take a packed lunch and proceed for a day-long game drive through the park. Your driver will pick a route designed to ensure you have the best possible chance of spotting wildlife.

After your game drive is completed you will go to the airstrip and board your flight back to Zanzibar. At the airport, you will be met by our driver and taken back to your hotel.
