Mount Kenya
Mount Kenya is not just a single peak; it is a massif consisting of a multitude spires, cliffs, complex ridges and peaks. The main summits are the twins Batian and Nelion, and these can only be reached by means of technical climbing via a variety of rock or ice routes. The third highest peak, Point Lenana, is a popular destination for trekking parties. While the 5199 metre summit is a difficult technical climb, the lesser peak of Point Lenana (4985m) can be easily reached by any fit trekker. This trek takes between 3 and 5 days. Point John and some of the other subsidiary peaks also offer good rock climbing routes.
We provide the complete support and guidence
The most valuable is the complete and accurate information about the routes, preparation and the climbs are led by experienced and proffessional mountain guides. We use professional, quality mountain equipment and food is plentiful and delicious. It is advised to book the climb in advance, because an armed ranger, guides and porters must accompany climbers.
Mount Kenya routes
The Sirimon route is the least used of the three main routes, but features the most gradual ascent profile and best acclimatization options. The route passes through impressive Yellowwood forests in the lower reaches and features abundant wildlife and beautiful alpine scenery higher up. We will try to add single travelers to a group if at all possible but will also do groups with just one climber. We can also accommodate large groups of any size.
