Etosha National Park

Namibia's largest and most well-known national park, Etosha is the best place in Namibia for game viewing and one of the best places in southern Africa to see animals such as the lion, elephant, rhinoceros, and cheetah in their natural habitat.

The arid park surrounds a vast salt pan and in dry season sees tens of thousands of animals converging on the few waterholes that remain. This makes for exemplary game viewing, and the park's good roads and lodges make it the perfect place to go on a self-drive safari.

A number of lodges and facilities can be found both within and on the borders of the park, making it a great place to spend a few days and ensure you check everything off your 'to see' list.
