Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus)

It is the fastest cat in the world over short distances it can reach a speed of 110 km/h. with an amazing acceleration. It has slender body and long legs taht allows it to run towards the prey and bites in to the throat.

Have small head with a short muzzle and a clear black line running from the inner corner of each eye to the corner of the mouth. Body colour is  off white to pale fawn and liberraly dotted with more or les uniformly sized balck, rounded spots.

These features distinguish it from leopard.  Cheetah  has full rectractile claws and young cubs have  an extensive mantle of longish grey hair. They are normally seen singly, in pairs or small family parties consisting of a female and her dependent cubs.

Adult males move singly or in  in small barchellor groups of related animals.
