Подробнее о Caprivi/Zambezi Strip
Sharing borders with Angola, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia, the Caprivi Strip (sometimes known as the Zambezi Strip) is a slender strip of land in the country's north. Named for the German politician who had hoped to join what were then German East Africa and German West Africa, the strip is Namibia's wettest region as a number of rivers, including the Okavango and Zambezi, join on their way to forming Botswana's world famous Okavango Delta.
The region is the best place in Namibia to see water-dwelling game such as crocodiles and hippopotamuses, as well as a good place to see other animals requiring greener areas such as the cape buffalo, reedbuck, and elephant.
Краткое описание
Bordering Angola, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Namibia, the Zambezi Strip is part of the larger ecosystem that eventually gives birth to the world-famous Okavango Delta.
For those wishing to see crocodiles, hippos, cape buffalos, and elephants in a verdant, thriving park, this region offers something different to more arid Etosha.
