Zamoo - Safari Guide

Our guides - Zamoo

Zamoo never gets tired of the majestic animals of Tanzania, especially when he has the opportunity to share his wealth of knowledge about them with people from all over the world. He has been a guide for 8 years (and counting) because he loves his job.

Turu by tribe, Zamoo was born in the town of Karatu, right next to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. He loves to introduce people to his homeland and knows how to take care of his guests as they travel together through the wilderness here.

Zamoo’s favorite food: rice and beef with lots of vegetables (without forgetting carrots - to keep the eyes sharp!) 🥕

Zamoo, also known by his nickname Mogela, knows how to enjoy his life and appreciate the things he has. He values sports, reading, and spending time with his family. At the same time, he takes his job very seriously and he is very determined to do well in his work - luckily for you, this means giving travelers experiences they will remember for many lifetimes!

Zamoo’s favorite drink: soda 🥤

Zamoo loves all creatures of Tanzania, big and small. He knows well that even if guests to these parts may have some fears about some of the unfamiliar animals, locals here understand how to coexist in peace with them: if you don’t bother wild animals, you won’t have any problems with them. He adores lions, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, leopards, wild dogs, topis, wildebeest, jackals, zebras - basically every animal here - but his number #1…

Zamoo’s favorite animal: the warthog, aka Pumba, because when they run, their cute little tail sticks up like an antenna!

Zamoo is looking forward to introducing you to his peaceful country and its friendly people, as well as its magnificent nature and all the animals that live within.
