Quad biking Safari is yet another form of game safaris. Want to steer the course of your safari? Hop on a quad bike and explore - this is a self-driving game viewing!
Driving is strictly adherent to Uganda Wildlife Authority regulations, in particular no off-track riding or speeding. If you came here to race your friends you're not in a right place - these are game viewing safaris for small groups who want to experience the sights, sounds, smells and feel of Africa with the wind in their hair.
You are free to stop at any time and at a few points along the trail we all stop, switch off the engines and take in the pure cacophony of sounds in the untouched African bush.
There are only two places in Uganda, where you can steer your wheels – in Lake Mburo National Park and Jinja.
The quad bikes (ATV - All Terrain Vehicles) used are very simple to ride. Semi-automatic 250 cc machines with efficient silencers and very wide, low-pressure tyres for minimal impact on the trails. No previous experience is needed as the guides will train you in the basics and develop your skills along the way.
At signing on you get fitted with a helmet, goggles, an overall-suit, a bandana and boots. Your own closed footwear is of course just as well.
