Details van Caracal (Felis caracal)

Robustly built and medium sized. Hindquarters somewhat higher than shoulders. Coat is soft dense and soft, colour ranges from pale yellowish fawn to rich brick red.

The face is prominently marked withblack and white patches especiaččy around the eyes and mouth.

They are solitary, males appearing to be territorial and overlapping homeranges from 4>100km.

It is considered a major predator to sheep and goats.
