Podrobno o Zebra (Equus burchelii)
Most widespread and abundant of Africa's wild horses, showing considerable variation in paterning with five extant subspecies. It has black and shadow stripes towards the rump. The mane is long, erect and alternateley black and white, coinciding with the neck stripes. Tail is short haired toward the base but then long haired. Ears are comparatively shorter than those of other zebra species.Often seen among giant herds of wildebeest and antelopes. A common zebra herd consists of one male and many females with their babies, often a group of 20 animals. Other herds are exclusively male.
