During your stay, you can take long walks on one of the world’s most magical beaches and meet and socialize with the friendly residents of Uroa village. Shielded by the coral reef, the stretch of ocean off the coast of Uroa is calm and offers safe swimming. The mesmerizing daily cycle of the tides creates an ever-changing beach landscape. At low tide, you can wade out for a refreshing dip. Wait for high tide to immerse yourself in the soothing waters and get away from it all. 

Another pleasant way to experience the Zanzibari sea is to allow yourself to be led out into the deep blue by the ingalawa–the local fisherman. Climb onboard their boats and take an out-of-this-world tour of hidden sandbanks, swim in crystal water, snorkel along the coral reef. The Samaki Lodge has special arrangements with an extreme sports center for scuba diving aficionados and kite surfers.
