Jozani Forest

You don’t need to be on the mainland to
go on a safari. Jozani Forest, the last natural
forest on the main island, is today home to
a variety of wildlife including the Red Colobus
Monkey, the Zanzibar leopard, blue monkeys,
chameleons, mongoose, , tree hyrax, bush pigs,
civets, and two antelope species endemic to

Zanzibar.

Located just 35km from Stone Town, a visit
to Jozani Forest is an excellent way to see

some truly unique wildlife.
