Amboseli is considered Kenya‘s biosphere reserve. The name Amboseli in Maa (Masai language) means place of water, and it reveals its true nature. In its swamps live massive herds of elephants and are likely to pose a show for you. Much other wildlife will reveal themselves - observe hippos, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, buffaloes, wildebeest, and gazelles. Not to forget all the predators lurking around - lions, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas are likely to be seen. And more than 350 bird species, among them flamingoes, cormorants, storks, and ostriches. A full package, so to say. And with us achievable in only one day.

Amboseli National Park is a semi-arid land of swamps, home to over 400 bird- and 47 raptor species and it completes one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the world.

Known as the Royal Court of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park offers unparalleled views of Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa's tallest mountain.

DAY 2 - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK - NAIROBI

For the absolute best views of Kilimanjaro, you'll have to wake up for the sunrise. The early morning sun casts Kilimanjaro in a fantastic light, turning its snows pink and its mountainside a deep purple that has to be seen to be believed. It makes a remarkable setting for your breakfast.

You'll also enjoy excellent game-viewing conditions on your early morning game drive, with predators such as lions and leopards much more active in these low-light, cooler conditions.

After your game drive has been completed, you'll return to Nairobi.

For those traveling on to Tanzania, the Namanga border crossing is just three hours drive from Amboseli National Park.
