The resort’s beautiful gardens surround twenty Zanzibarian cottages.

ROOMS:

  • TOTAL 20 Rooms
  • 13 beachfront rooms - set in groups of 2’s or 3’s sharing one or two common walls – they do not have any single standing rooms. Each room is individual with ensuite shower and toilet with outside balcony/terrace with seating/loungers
  • 3 garden view rooms – slightly set back roughly 20m (in a group of 3) with outside balcony/terrace with outside seating.
  • 4 sea view suites –set in groups of 2. Each room is individual with ensuite shower and toilet with outside balcony/terrace with seating/loungers. These rooms have private plunge pool.
  • All rooms have ceiling fans and free standing fans = more eco friendly than air conditioning
  • Shower are slightly brackish – water source directly from ocean and filtered through coral under the beach sand and fed into rooms = eco friendly J
  • Mosquito nets are in all rooms – at turndown service in the evenings rooms are also sprayed. Sea breeze also helps!
  • Beach towels and bath towels are provided in all rooms.
  • Complimentary bottle of mineral water provided daily in rooms.
  • Power – we operate on mains power however we do have the occasional power cuts which are experience on the island in which case we do have backup generators to provide electricity.

TWIN ROOMS > 1 double bed + 1 single bed

TRIPLE ROOMS > 1 double bed + 1 single (2 beds) OR

1 double bed + 2 singles (3 beds)

QUAD ROOMS > 1 double bed + 2 singles (3 beds)

FACILITIES

  • LIBRARY - Good book selection
  • INTERNET – complimentary available on hotel laptop for guests wishing to use their own computers are welcome to purchase the internet WEP Key from them for $10.00 which will allow them internet access for the duration of their stay. Please note that they do not have WI-FI in the rooms only the main areas.
  • LAUNDRY SERVICES – for additional cost
  • JEEP HIRE

Child Policy

  • Pongwe beach hotel are happy to accommodate children BUT they do not provide child minding / baby sitting facilities. They only have a few beach games (balls, bats, Frisbees) for them to play with during their stay.
