One of South Africa’s most popular scenic attractions, the dramatic peaks of the Drakensberg Mountains were so named because they resemble the teeth of a dragon. Even the native Zulu saw something ominous in this craggy peaks, with the local name - uKhahlamba - translating as ‘barrier of up pointed spears’.
