Meru 

Meru is the 8th largest City in Kenya, located in Eastern part of Kenya on the North East slopes of Mt Kenya and 5 miles north of equator.

It is populated by the Ameru people. It is a business agricultural and educational centre for North East Kenya. Coffee, timber, tea and dairy products are produced in Meru.

It is also a prime growing area, for miraa (khat) and its preferred by farmers because it is financially lucrative to produce.
