While it is best known as a fantastic bird-watching destination (more than 400 species call the park home), it is also possible to see wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, chimpanzees, baboons, hippos, and crocodiles. The famous ‘fanged deer’ can also be found within the park.

The park’s hot springs are a popular attraction as well, with hikers able to cook their own meals in the piping hot water after a long trek.

Attractions

A tiny park offering a lot of variety, Semuliki is especially popular for bird-watching, with a truly dizzying variety of feathered wildlife to be seen.

Blending East African with Central Africa, Semuliki offers something you'll not find in other East African parks, including a variety of Central African wildlife including a variety of primates, forest buffalo and elephants, and the unusual water chevrotain (otherwise known as a fanged deer).

In addition to birding and game drives, the park is also famous for its hot springs where local primates can be seen playing in and around the waters.
