DAY 1 - NAIROBI - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Departing from Nairobi after breakfast, you'll drive some three hours south through the Masai lands and arrive at Amboseli National Park. The name Amboseli in Maa means place of water, and it reveals its true nature. You’ll arrive there in time for either a picnic lunch within the park or a hot lunch at your lodge.

Once you've refuelled, it's time to head out into the park for an afternoon game drive where you'll see herds of wildebeests and zebras, proud lions, skulking hyenas, a variety of antelopes, and some of Kenya's largest herds of elephants - all set against the startling backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

After the sun has set, you'll retire to your lodge for dinner.

DAY 2 - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK - LAKE NAIVASHA

Known as the Royal Court of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park offers unparalleled views of Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa's tallest mountain. For the absolute best views, you'll have to wake up for the sunrise. The early morning sun casts Kilimanjaro in a fantastic light, turning its snows pink and its mountainside a deep purple that has to be seen to be believed. It makes a remarkable setting for your breakfast.

You'll also enjoy excellent game-viewing conditions on your early morning game drive, with predators such as lions and leopards much more active in these low-light, cooler conditions.

After your game drive has been completed, you'll head for Lake Naivasha to your selected lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 - LAKE NAIVASHA - MASAI MARA

After a great breakfast, you’ll embark on a boat for a ride on this vast freshwater lake, that lays at the highest elevation of the Kenyan Rift Valley at 1884 metres and is home to many animal species. Along the ride, you’ll observe the hippos and birds before reaching Crescent Island. In the conservatory upon the island you'll walk among zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and monkeys in their natural environment, without fear of predators. The lake view is quite unparallel - besides all the inhabitants, you will gaze on shores of blooming flowers and the peaks of the Great rift. After returning to the lake’s shore, you’ll head for Masai Mara. You’ll arrive at your selected lodge for dinner.

DAY 4 - MASAI MARA

Wake before the dawn for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness a Masai Mara sunrise. After a quick cup of coffee, you'll head out into the park to watch as the sun sets fire to the savannah and the big cats take advantage of the morning cool to search for a meal.

Alternatively, you can take to the skies with a hot air balloon safari that will see you soar above all of the action before setting down on the plains for a champagne breakfast among the wildlife. Ask your safari expert about adding a hot air balloon adventure to your safari.

You'll then return to your lodge for a late breakfast before packing a picnic lunch and heading back out into the park for a day-long exploration of the Masai Mara.

The ecosystem hosts over 95 animal species and they include large herds of elephants and buffaloes meandering the plains, the hippo pools in the Mara brown rivers, Masai giraffes, topis, grant and Thompson’s gazelles, zebras, plenty of Nile crocodiles, blue- and red-tailed monkeys and tree hyraxes. An abundance of herbivores definitely makes it an ideal hunting ground for predators - and therefore a comfy home of Kenya's famous big cats. The lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas and jackals can be seen easily.

After a day full of excitement, you’ll return to your lodge for overnight and dinner.
