Details of Mago National Park

Perhaps most famous as a stop along the way to the famous Mursi Villages, Mago National Park is a sprawling grassland that is continuing to emerge from the dark days of poaching.

While some game can be spotted in the park, it is the resident Mursi People who are the park's main attraction.

The bare-breasted women with giant lip plates and the ritually scarred men of this tribe are an iconic feature of the Lower Omo Valley and draw thousands of would-be anthropologists from all around the world.
