Details of Kidepo Valley National Park

Isolated in Uganda’s north-eastern corner, the Kidepo Valley National Park offers world-class game-viewing enhanced by the fact it’s so far from the tourist crowds that can otherwise crowd a more accessible park.

Like Uganda’s more well-known parks, Kidepo Valley is home to four of the Big Five, with elephants and buffalo being especially common sights. For those wishing to see animals such as the cheetah, aardwolf, kudu, and dik-dik, Kidepo Valley is the only place in the country where such animals can be spotted.

Like many of Uganda’s national parks, Kidepo Valley boasts excellent bird-watching, with birds of prey a particularly common sight.
