In this beautiful valley below are the subsidiary peaks of Teleki and Sendeyo , two ancient parasitic vents of the main peaks (3990m). Climb out of the North Valley and into Mackinders Valley, one of the broadest valleys in the Mountain with many giant groundsels. Day 4: Mt. Kenya Peak

Trek starts in the middle of the night. It is the day when you reach the mt. Kenya Peak in sunrise hours.

The day starts at 0200hrs. We have to start very early on this day so that we reach the peak at sunrise. It is an Alpine ascent to the highest peak, Point Lenana (4985m) en-route up the North face little used by tourists. It is 4 hours of stiff walking to the summit. This will be the most challenging bit of the Mountain Trek and will require a strong mind to reach the summit. At about 0730hrs, we shall start the descent back to the Mintos Hut where we shall have breakfast. We shall camp in the tents within this region for the night.

Day 5: Descend day

During descend, if group pace allows, also visit to Nithii waterfalls.

We shall leave for the Mt Kenya Meru Bandas and having a stop over for lunch at the Road Head. Time permitting we shall deviate a bit to the “Nithii waterfalls”. We shall later join the main route and head to the Mt Kenya Meru Bandas where we shall be accommodated for the night.
